What is xerobytes.net?
A software catalogue operated by Kirobyte, LLC (in formation), a Texas company. It is organised by what software does rather than by who made it, and every listing states its price, its licence, and how to get your data out. Gaming is the category that is open today, and Rise of Kingdoms is its first title: a commander database, a talent builder and more than a dozen calculators, all free to use. The other three categories are in development or planned, and the home page labels each one.
What kinds of software are in the catalogue?
Four categories. Gaming is open today; Community Operations is in development; Business and Teams, and Infrastructure, are planned. A tool with nothing to do with games will sit alongside one that has everything to do with them, and products will be sold for individual and for team use. Games are where the catalogue starts because that is what was built first, not what it is limited to. Anything not yet open says so plainly rather than being listed as though you could buy it today.
Can anyone pay to rank higher?
No listing on xeroBytes is promoted. If we sell placement in future, every promoted listing will carry a visible label, and that label will say what it means: promotion is a commercial arrangement, not an endorsement. A promoted listing is not ranked above, and is not assessed as better than, any other listing on the site.
Does it cost anything to use?
Everything on the site is free to use today. The pricing page publishes the first plans ahead of billing, so a team can budget for them; they cover the Rise of Kingdoms kingdom tools — the live map and the pages around it. Nothing is on sale yet: there is no checkout, no payment provider is connected, and no card details are collected anywhere on this site.
Do I need an account?
Mostly not. Most of what is published here works signed out; an account is what you need to save and publish work of your own, and to use the inventory calculator's screenshot scanner. In Rise of Kingdoms that means the commander database, the calculators, the reference pages and other people's published talent builds all work signed out, while saving a build of your own needs an account. You can create one with an email address and a password, or by signing in with Google.
Why can I not open the Rise of Kingdoms live map or the kingdom pages?
The kingdom pages — the live map and the pages around it — are built for one kingdom's members and are gated by per-account roles, so signing in is not enough on its own. Without an approved role those pages stay hidden.
Where does the reference data come from?
It is authored by hand from an original source document into each product's own database, not scraped or copied from elsewhere. In the Rise of Kingdoms titles that means guide content tagged with the kingdom-age stages it applies to, and calculators built from explicit formulas rather than lookup tables, so they hold up as the game shifts.
Is this site affiliated with Lilith Games?
No. The Rise of Kingdoms material here is unofficial: Kirobyte, LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Lilith Games, the publisher of Rise of Kingdoms. The Terms of Service spell out what that means.
How do I report a security problem?
Through the address published in the site's security.txt file, at /.well-known/security.txt.
